Census Bureau: Lanai saw more residents between ages 45 and 54 in 2017


Of the 3,185 people residing in Lanai, a census-designated place in Hawaii, in 2017, the median age was 46, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Hawaii Business Daily.

The largest number of people were in the 45 to 54 age bracket with the fewest number of people in the 20 to 24 age bracket.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
